Organic Meats

Organic beef and poultry is never given antibiotics, given access to graze in pastures, and grow the way nature intended.

Organ meat is particularly rich in B-vitamins, such as vitamin B12 and folate. It is also rich in minerals, including iron, magnesium, selenium and zinc, and important fat-soluble vitamins like vitamins A, D, E and K. Furthermore, organ meat is an excellent protein source.

Organic Vegetables

Dark leafy greens are a staple ingredient for us. Aside from being high in potassium, fiber, and vitamins A, C, and K, dark leafy greens are a nutritional powerhouse proven to reduce cancer in dogs.

Sweet Potatoes and Carrots are both powerful warriors against disease. These orange superstars are a power anti-inflammatory and help to slow the aging process. They are high in many of the trace minerals such as: manganese, potassium, copper, folate, and phosphorus.

Mushrooms are really versatile natural plants that serve several major functions including, disease prevention, cell regeneration, and cancer and radiation protection.

Blueberries are the most potent antioxidant of any fruit. They stop free radical cascades and the oxidative stress they cause. Blueberries can inhibit tumor growth, prevent mutations, lower blood sugar and decrease chronic inflammation.

Organic Seeds & Legumes

Flax seed is filled with Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. These fatty acids help keep your dog's coat shiny and skin healthy.

High quality seeds such as Quinoa and Amaranth provide essential nutrients such as vitamin B, iron and magnesium while being gluten free. Quinoa is a particular favorite as it contains all nine essential amino acids.

Beans, such as Navy, Pinto, and Kidney, regulate blood sugar, serve as a plant based protein, and are rich in B-vitamins, potassium, magnesium, and iron, and are a great source of antioxidants and fiber for our dogs.

The Organic Difference

Why do we use only organic products in our pet food? Simply put, organic food grows the way nature intended. It contains greater concentrations of nutrients, leads to less antibiotic resistant infections, and is better for our environment.

Conventional (non-organic) farmers rely on dangerous chemicals to fight crop pests, provide plant nutrients, grow the food at a faster rate, and increase its overall weight. While some may consider the organic label nothing more than a marketing campaign, the cumulative effects of repeated exposure to pesticides used in conventional farming have been linked to leukemia, lymphoma, and cancers of the brain, breasts, prostate, testis, and ovaries. In contrast, organic farming practices are not about producing the greatest amount of volume regardless of quality, organic farming is about using healthy soil to grow healthy plants while employing practices that have been around for thousands of years—such as crop rotation and the use of compost. In our view, this leads to healthier, happier dogs and owners and a better more sustainable environment.

Whole Food Ingredients

Nutrients that come from food, not laboratories.

Our products only use whole food sources to provide the nutrients your dog needs. When nutrients are consumed from food sources, they are more potent and absorb better into the bloodstream. Plants are complex organisms, and therefore create co-nutrients such as carotenoids, flavonoids, minerals, and antioxidants, which aid absorption of the vitamin in addition to several other benefits.

When a vitamin is created in a laboratory, these co-nutrients are missing. Pet food on the market today does not provide the breadth of ingredients needed to meet nutrient requirements, so artificial supplements are added.
